What the panel does not tell you:

  • How your own body will respond on a given day

Indica means sleep, sativa means energy, and myrcene means the sleepy one. That shorthand is convenient, and it is doing a lot of work that the chemistry cannot carry.

I look at it this way: myrcene is a real molecule with a real aroma and some promising animal data. Treat the sleep claim as a hypothesis you can test on yourself, not a specification on the package. If a high-myrcene flower helps you sleep, that is worth knowing. Just do not assume the next high-myrcene flower will do the same thing, because the rest of the plant changes too.
