When you order cannabis online in a legal state, start with licensed retailers that publish third-party lab results and state delivery rules. Convenience has become the deciding factor for many shoppers, but speed should never replace verification. Confirm the dispensary holds a current license from your state cannabis regulator before you enter payment details.

What to Look For
- Valid license: Check your state's online licensee database. Unlicensed sellers operate without testing or legal recourse.
- Lab testing: Every batch should have a Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an ISO-certified lab. Look for pesticides, heavy metals, and microbial results.
- Product details: Strain type (indica, sativa, hybrid), THC and CBD percentages, weight, and harvest date. For edibles, check milligrams per serving.
- Delivery options: Same-day, scheduled, or curbside pickup. Confirm minimum order thresholds and delivery fees before checkout.
- Payment methods: Debit, cash, or cashless ATM. Credit cards often fail because of federal banking rules.
- Return policy: Sealed cannabis products are often non-returnable. Ask about damaged or incorrect items.
