How to Dry and Cure Weed at Home
Drying and curing weed at home is a crucial process for achieving the best quality cannabis. Follow these steps to ensure your weed is potent and flavorful.
Step 1: Harvesting
- Harvest your cannabis when the trichomes turn from clear to milky white.
- Use a clean pair of scissors to trim the leaves and stems, leaving only the buds.
- Remove any leaves or stems that are still green.
Step 2: Drying
- Hang your buds upside down in a well-ventilated area with a temperature between 60-70°F (15-21°C) and 45-55% humidity.
- Check the buds every day to ensure they are drying evenly.
- Once the buds are dry to the touch, they are ready for curing.
Step 3: Curing
- Place the dried buds in airtight containers with a hygrometer to monitor humidity.
- Keep the humidity between 60-65% and the temperature between 60-70°F (15-21°C).
- Open the containers once a day to let in air and release moisture.
- Cure for at least two weeks, but up to a month for the best results.
Step 4: Storage
