  • Replace carbon every 6 to 12 months in a grow, sooner if you run continuous cycles.
  • Rinse or swap pre-filters every 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Check fan blades and ducting for dust buildup every month.
  • Keep a spare filter on hand. Odor control always fails on a Friday night.

If you smell cannabis outside the room, the filter is either undersized, saturated, or bypassing air around the carbon. Check the seal first. Then check the CFM rating. Then check humidity.
